Reconnecting

A beautiful August afternoon in Central Park

 It's been a long summer, over here it is still going on with temperatures still in the high thirties... Can't wait for it to cool down a little bit.

But I should not complain, I got to spend a couple of lovely weeks in Finland and a few brilliant weeks in Canada and the US. The latter was for my husband's annual leave and for the first time in years I felt like he was actually off from work. It was a great break for both young and old :)

I decided to take a bit of a break from my online life. No Facebook, no Instagram and also no updates on the blog. Instead I took the time to concentrate on family life. Trying to stop a two-year-old from killing herself in her wonderful adventures in life is quite enough of work on some days.

Now that she is back in day care, it's time to try to reconnect online. At least to a certain extent, I think Facebook will have to remain on the back burner for a while. It just ends up taking too much time, time that I would like to spend doing other things.

Time to pick up the young one, have a lovely weekend everyone!

10001 thank yous!

Ten thousand and one thank yous to you all! My blog has now hit just over ten thousand page views! Not a lot it may seem, but for me it's a big deal for a blog that was started just so that i could update my family and friends all around the world about what we are up to!

Tiotusen och ett tack till er alla! Nu har min blogg setts över tiotusen gånger. Det är väl i sig inte så mycket, men för mej är det inte så illa med tanke på att jag startade bloggen endast för att min familj och alla mina vänner i olika delar av världen kan följa med vad vi håller på med.

Professional procrastionator

For lack of a better title nowadays I call myself a "professional procrastinator". It seems that the more time I have at my hands, the less I get done! I definitely work better under pressure!

In a few days we are off to Canada for a couple of weeks, and there is a lot that would need to be done before that. Laundry to be washed, things to be bought, paint colours to be chosen and oh... packing of course. Blogging over the coming two weeks might become very sporadic/non existent but I will be back to tell you all about the trip!

I brist på en bättre titel kallar jag mej nuförtiden "proffessionell prokrastinatör". Det händer inte så jättemycket här hemma under dagarna så det blir ganska lätt så att man skjuter opp både det ena och det andra som ska göras. Det är lite som Alfons Åberg, "Vänta lite, jag ska bara..." För mej behövs det helt enkelt en liten gnutta press på så att saker och ting blir av!


Om några dagar åker vi iväg till Kanada och före det är det en del som ska göras; byk ska tvättas, saker å ting ska inhandlas, målfärger som ska väljas och så kommer jag ju inte undan min favoritsyssla... packandet av väskorna. Under dom kommane veckorna blir det glest med bloggandet, alternativt inget bloggande alls. Men när jag kommer tillbaka så berättar jag hur allt gick!

Aquarius Living turns one!

I thought I had missed the anniversary of my blog, but it is today that my blog turns one :) Another reminder of how quickly a year goes by! It's great to see that people keep reading, despite my irregular posting. I have had lots of positive feedback from friends and family and I am so grateful for that!

I would love to know what you think of my blog even if you do not know me personally, feel free to leave comments in the box below. You do not have to register in order to leave a comment and even of you are required to put in your e-mail address it will not appear on the blog, nor will I see it.

Is there anything particular that you would want me to write about, what type of stories do you like or dislike? It would be great to get some input from you guys, because sometimes I find it hard to come up with ideas. Other times I might think I have a great story, but you might not find it the least intriguing...

Aquarius Living fyller ett år idag! Jag ställer inga till med något kalas, men kanske jag ska baka nåt... Ganska svårt att fatta att det redan har gått ett år sen jag började blogga! Är det bara jag, eller gå åren fortare ju äldre man blir?

Still here

Hi everyone! Just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I am still here. I know it's been a while, sorry...

I've been working on a project recently and it has taken up a lot of my time and probably nearly costing my sanity as well! I have limited access to internet at the moment, so I will share more with you in a while :) I've also lost the privelege that is the use of my own laptop as my husband has developped a preference for it. It's lighter and also works much faster than his own. That's why I have to share some photos out of my archive of older pics.

Hej alla vanner! Det var ett tag sen sist, alldeles for lange mast jag medge. Jag har ett litet projekt pa gang och det har tagit upp all min lediga tid. For tillfallet har jag sporadsik tillgang ti internet, sa jag berattar mera lite senare :) Min man har utvecklat ett starkt tycke for min dator som ar mycket lattare och snabbare an hans. Darfor sa saknas dom skandinaviska vokalerna, dessutom har jag inte tillgang till mina nyaste foton sa det far bli nagot ur mitt arkiv.

My audience

Thanks to everyone who have been reading my VERY sporadically updated blog. I¨m still a newbie when it comes to all things blog related. Today I found a page that gave me the stats of the number of page views that my blog has had, it also gave me the country of origin for these page views. I must say I was amazed to see these stats!

I only realised today that the settings for leaving comments were set up in such away that not everyone and everyone can leave a comment. I have now changed this so feel free to drop me a line or ask me a question.
